Create videos using the ‘create product demo’ flow

Product demo videos show potential customers the true potential of your product and help them decide if your product is the best fit for them or not. 

It's easy to create product demo videos with Hippo Video's 'Create Product Demo' flow. Pro tip: Limit your videos to 2 minutes as a short and clear video will create maximum impact. Additionally, it should demonstrate how their work can be improved by using your product. 

To navigate to the video flows: 

  1. Log-in to  Hippo Video with your existing credentials.

  2. Hover the mouse over the HV Studio icon in the left navbar and click on the Video Flows.

  3. You will be redirected to the Video Flows page where you’ll find the Custom Tags and System Tags.

    1. Custom Tags are tailor-made tags created by admins to manage and retrieve flows. If there are no custom tags available for an account, the custom tag filter will not appear.

Note: The video flows associated with custom tags are automatically moved to the Others category when deleted.
  1. System Tags are pre-made tags available by default for every Hippo Video user to manage and retrieve flows.

  1. Here you’ll find an option to search the video flows using various ways:

  1. Sort by - By default, it displays the Recent category. You can also opt for Name.

  2. Search - Enter the name of the video flows and press Enter; Click Clear to clear the content inside the box.

Note: The sort by, and search options work for each tag separately.
  1. Visibility settings for quick create - By default, all the system video flows are enabled here. You can always show/remove the newly created video flows inside the ‘+Create’ button (available at the top right) by enabling/disabling the toggle button.

Note:  This is applicable only for Admin.
  • To enable/disable the flows, click Visibility settings for quick create link at the top left.

  • Here, enable the toggle button near the appropriate flow and then click Save.

  1. In the left panel, you’ll find various tabs:

  • Recently Used - Lists the latest 15 modified flows, either custom tags or system tags (the tag names will not be shown). The default flows will always be the first on top for easy access. 

  • All Flows - Already available and newly created flows will be shown here along with the tag names.

  • Filter By Tags - This includes the Custom Tags and System Tags.

     

  1. By clicking the Create New Flow button at the right side of the each tag will allow you to create a new video flow.


To create a video using the ‘create product demo’ flow: 

  1. Go to the Deal Progression/Sales Enablement tabs in the left panel and hover the mouse over the Send Follow Up Video flow.

  1. You can either Preview your flow.

Note: The Preview option will be available only for the System Tags (default flows).
  1. Or click on the Use button.


Card 1: Here, you can record a personalized video by calling out your prospect's name and giving a brief background on yourself & your views.

  1. You’ll have three options: Record Video, Import Video (local drive/recorded videos from your library), or Import Image (local drive, recently used, G-drive, library images, free stock images, or shopify). 

  1. For example, click on the Import Image button to import an image.

  1. The Import Images window will appear. Select the appropriate image and click Import

  1. The selected image will be uploaded. 

  1. You can change the image by clicking on the Delete button at any point in time, if needed.

  2. Click on the Card 2 tab or Right arrow at the bottom to move to the next card.


Card 2: Now, it is time to give your prospects a little more information in this video by showcasing your product.

  1. You’ll have three options: Import Video (local drive/recorded videos from your library), Record Screen, or Record Screen without Cam.

  1. For example, click on the Import Video button to import a video.

  1. Select the appropriate video from your local drive, or library and click Proceed.

  2. The selected video will be imported here.

  1. The Quick Edit button allows you to edit the video such as trim, crop, add emojis, add text, etc, if needed.

  2. You can change the image by clicking on the Delete button at any point in time if needed.

  3. Click on the Card 3 tab or the Right arrow at the bottom to move to the next card.


Card 3: Finally, thank them for their time during the demo and ask them to book a meeting using the calendar at the end of the meeting, etc.

  1. You’ll have three options: Record Video, Import Video (local drive/recorded videos from your library), or Import Image (local drive, recently used, G-drive, library images, free stock images, or shopify).

  1. For example, click on the Import Image button to import an image.

  1. The Import Images window will appear. Select the appropriate image and click Import.

  2. The selected image will be uploaded here.

  1. You can change the image by clicking on the Delete button at any point in time, if needed.


To add your custom background music: 

  1. Click on the Music icon at the bottom left and select Set Background Music from the pop-up.

  1. The Import Audio pop will appear.

  2. You can import audio from local, recently used audio libraries or G-Drive and then click Import.

  3. The selected audio is set. You’ll be able to check out the audio preview by clicking on the Play icon above the video thumbnail and adjusting the volume of the background music by clicking on the Speaker icon.

Note: You can change the music at any point in time.


To save and share the video:

  1. Once you’re done, click Merge and Next Step button at the bottom right.

  2. The Enter Video Details slider will appear.

  3. Now, enter the video name (mandatory) & description; select the folder where you want to the video to get saved inside the library and add tags (one tag is mandatory).

  4. Below the ‘Enter Prospects Details’ section, enter the prospect's name and email address to track the prospect's activity made against the video.

  5. Once you’re done, click Save and Next button.

  1. You’ll be redirected to the sales page template. Here, you can add or edit the sales page template, if necessary.

Note: If the branding is not enabled for the template then you’ll not be able to edit the sales page template components, click here to learn more about branding. To edit the sales page template, you must contact your admin.
  1. If you edit any elements inside the sales page template and click on the Save and Next button, a pop-up will appear. 

  2. Click on the ‘Yes, Save and Set as Default for Me’ button to save the recent changes or ‘No, I Would like to use it just this once’ to use the modified sales page template only in this flow and retain the old one for next time.

  1. The ‘Save as new template and Set it default’ dialog will appear.

  2. Enter the template name and click Save to save the sale page template.

  1. Once you’re done with the sales page template, click on the Save and Next button.

  2. It will take you to the Shares & Tracking tab.

  3. Here you’ll find the video details such as video name (at the top left is editable), edit sales page (at the top right), shared with (last shared by), templates used (video flow & sales page template), activity summary (opened, viewed, played, & replied), video thumbnailvideo nameprospect email & name, shares (number of shares), actions (medium used to send the video - copy link, send email, share/embed code), and preview.

  1. The Edit Sales Page Template button at the top right lets you change the sales page if needed.

  2. Then, to share the video with the prospects click on the appropriate links such as copy linksend email, and embed code from the Actions column.
  3. Once you're done, your video is successfully shared with the prospect.
Note: The Record Video at the bottom lets you create a new video with the same flow.
