Creating snippets from Outplay

Snippets are similar to email templates where a piece of content/text can be used within an email.

To create video emails from the Snippets tab:

  1. Click on the More icon from the quick navigation bar on the left.

  1. Then, click on Snippets.

  1. Click on Add Snippet at the top right.

  1. Now, click on the Hippo Video icon at the bottom right of the email layout.

  1. Select the option from the pop-up.

  2. Before recording, if you have lengthy scripts then it is recommended to enable the teleprompter. The Enable Teleprompter feature within Hippo Video will prompt your scripts on the screen and lets you talk without the need to check your notes. To learn how to enable it, click here.

  3. You can create a new video or import a video from the Hippo Video library or record your screen and share.

  1. Once you have completed, your video is ready to be shared.

  2. If you wish to send out your video via a sales page, click the Sales Page tab on the top right corner to select a sales page template to embed, then click the Thumbnail tab on the top right corner to choose a thumbnail for the video.   3. Once you’re done, click on the Copy to Clipboard

  4. Now, press Ctrl+V ( for Windows) or Command+V (in case of Mac) to paste the video.

  5. You will notice your video gets pasted to the email layout as a thumbnail. 

  1. Enter a subject line and click on Add. The snippet was saved successfully.

To add the snippet to your email:

  1. Click on the Prospects icon from the left panel and then click on the prospect.

  2. Then, click on the Email icon from the right side of the screen.

  1. Now, click on the Insert Variable icon at the bottom of the email layout.

  1. Click on the Snippet tab and select the preferred snippet from the list.

  2. You will notice the video gets pasted as a thumbnail inside the email layout.
